Privacy Policy — ScoreX
In short
ScoreX shows live football scores. There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to count how many people use the app and which screens they open, so we know what to improve. Nothing that identifies you, including our own installation id, is sent to it.
What we store
Only what the app needs to work:
- A random installation identifier generated on your device. It is not tied to who you are, and exists so the app can remember this device’s favourites.
- A push notification token (FCM) and your platform, stored only if you allow notifications, so that alerts can reach your device.
- Your favourites (matches, teams, leagues) and your notification preferences.
- A record of notifications already sent, so the same alert is not sent twice. These records are deleted after 30 days.
Usage statistics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase, a Google service, to collect aggregate figures such as how many people open the app each day and which screens are used most. It generates its own device identifier so the same person is not counted twice.
We do not send it your name, email or our own installation id, so the figures cannot be traced back to a person.
It can be switched off in your device settings — under advertising and privacy on Android, and under privacy and security on iOS.
What we do not collect
- Name, email, phone number or any contact details
- Location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera
- Data used to target advertising at you personally — the app currently shows no ads
Who else sees it
The data above lives on our own servers. We do not sell it and we do not trade it with anyone for advertising.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) delivers the notifications, so your push token and the alert text pass through that service.
- Our hosting provider, which may record IP addresses and request times as part of normal operation, for security and troubleshooting.
- Football data comes from an external sports data provider. We fetch from them; none of your data is sent to them.
How long we keep it
Favourites and preferences remain until you remove them in the app or uninstall it. Notification records are deleted automatically after 30 days. To have everything for your device deleted, write to us at the address below.
Your choices
You can turn notifications off at any time, in the app or in your device settings, remove favourites yourself, and ask us to delete everything associated with your device.
Children
The app contains no adult content, no gambling and no betting odds, and collects nothing that identifies a person. It is suitable for all ages.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page is updated. Changes that matter will also be announced in the app.
